Muscat – The Bayan electronic customs system, operated by the Directorate General of Customs of the Royal Oman Police, has achieved 9th place globally in the customs clearance efficiency index according to a World Bank report.

Linking 74 government and private entities, the system provides 496 electronic services designed to simplify customs procedures, secure supply chains, and boost foreign investment.

Furthermore, the platform records exceptional clearance speeds, successfully processing declarations in seconds and minutes across land, air, and sea ports, while ensuring that 90% of goods are cleared within the first hour of arrival.
