Muscat – The Food Safety and Quality Center (FSQC) has issued an official warning urging social media influencers, content creators, digital activists, advertising agencies, companies, institutions, and food traders to obtain prior approval from the center before advertising or promoting any food product across social media platforms or any other media outlet.

This requirement operates strictly in accordance with the provisions outlined in the Food Safety Law and Ministerial Decision Number (69/2024) regarding the registration of food items and their promotion.

Furthermore, the center emphasized that formal legal actions will be taken against anyone who violates the rules and regulations stipulated in current laws.

Applications for approval must be submitted electronically through designated official communication channels to ensure consumer protection and adherence to food quality standards.
