Muscat – H E Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, convened a formal meeting on Tuesday, with the governors at the Ministry’s headquarters to discuss the upcoming launch of His Majesty the Sultan’s Award for Governorates Development.

The Minister extended his appreciation to the governors for their ongoing commitment to advancing local development and urged them to maintain this momentum in their respective regions. The agenda focused on strategic initiatives designed to bolster regional progress and social welfare.

A significant portion of the discussion was dedicated to the upcoming launch of His Majesty the Sultan’s Award for Governorates Development, which aims to encourage excellence in regional administration. Furthermore, the Minister highlighted the importance of reviewing the performance of marriage support funds, which operate under the Royal directive to enhance social stability across the Sultanate.

The session concluded with a comprehensive evaluation of the annual plans for municipal councils, aiming to refine their operational efficiency to better meet national development objectives.
