Muscat – Oman has experienced a period of intense heat over the last 24 hours. The Civil Aviation Authority’s meteorological stations recorded the highest temperature of 50.4°C in the wilayat of Mahout. Other regions also reported significantly high temperatures, with Dima Wattayeen reaching 49.4°C, Bidiyah recording 48.7°C, and Fahud reaching 48.6°C.

Further data shows that Um Alzamaim recorded 48.5°C, while Al Mudhaibi and Al Qabil reached 48.3°C and 48.1°C respectively. Additionally, temperatures in Al Jazir and Samail were documented at 48.0°C and 47.9°C, with Haima and Ibra recording 47.6°C and 47.3°C. These readings confirms the ongoing extreme weather conditions currently affecting various parts of the country.
