Muscat – Oman has officially implemented its annual midday work ban, aimed at protecting workers from the intense summer heat. As temperatures rise, it is strictly prohibited to have personnel operating at construction sites or in exposed areas during the hottest part of the day. This important safety measure applies throughout the months of June, July, and August.
Under these regulations, all work must be suspended during the window of 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. This initiative serves as a crucial safeguard for the wellbeing of those working in outdoor environments, ensuring that employers prioritise the health and safety of their workforce during periods of extreme meteorological conditions.
