Muscat – Ministry of Labour (MoL) has issued an official circular requiring all private sector establishments, subject to the provisions of the Labour Law promulgated by Royal Decree No. 53/2023, to expedite the payment of employee wages for the month of May 2026.

In anticipation of the upcoming Eid Al-Adha for the year 1447 AH, all employers are legally mandated to complete the disbursement of salaries no later than Monday, 8 Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH, which corresponds to May 25. This measure is designed to ensure that employees receive their remuneration in a timely manner to facilitate preparations for the holiday period. Establishments are expected to adhere strictly to this timeline to ensure compliance with the ministry’s regulatory framework regarding labour rights and wage protection.
