Muscat- HE Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, met on Sunday with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi as Oman pushed for dialogue, regional stability and lasting freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

In a post on X, Albusaidi described the talks as constructive, noting that both sides, as littoral states, recognise their shared responsibility to the international community.

He also highlighted the urgent humanitarian need to secure the release of seafarers held for prolonged periods, stressing that sustained diplomacy and practical solutions are essential to guarantee safe and uninterrupted maritime navigation.
