Muscat – Royal Oman Police (ROP) has successfully disrupted an organised attempt to smuggle several vehicles out of the country. A group of individuals representing various nationalities was apprehended following a sophisticated operation that involved renting multiple cars and intentionally disabling their tracking devices to avoid detection.

The suspects further attempted to conceal the identity of the vehicles by using forged official documents and counterfeit license plates. Through a targeted investigation, the Royal Oman Police were able to identify the syndicate and prevent the illegal transport of these assets across the border. Legal procedures are currently being finalised against all involved parties to address the various counts of theft and forgery.
