North Batinah – North Batinah Municipality has issued a comprehensive advisory regarding the detrimental effects of improper waste disposal within the region’s wadis. Authorities have highlighted that dumping refuse in these natural waterways causes significant harm to the environment and poses a direct threat to public safety. Such actions lead to the pollution and blockage of vital water channels, which can result in severe flooding during rainy seasons.

Additionally, the accumulation of waste contributes to the degradation of soil and groundwater quality while disrupting local wildlife and fragile ecosystems. Beyond the environmental impact, improper dumping fosters the proliferation of rodents and insects, increasing health risks for the community and damaging the natural beauty of the area. The municipality continues to emphasise the importance of responsible waste management to preserve the Sultanate’s natural heritage and ensure a safe living environment for all residents.
