Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued Royal Decree No 47/2026 on Tuesday to reorganise Oman Human Rights Commission, reading as follows:

Article 1 replaces the bylaw of Oman Human Rights Commission attached to Royal Decree No 57/2022 on reorganising Oman Human Rights Commission with the bylaw attached to this decree.

Article 2 stipulates that the membership of the members of Oman Human Rights Commission as per Royal Decree No 76/2023 on appointing members of Oman Human Rights Commission will remain in effect until such time as the commission is reconstituted in accordance with the bylaw attached to this decree.

Article 3 cancels all that contradicts the bylaw attached to this decree or contravenes its provisions.

Article 4 states that this decree will be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from the day following its publication.
