Dhaka – A delegation from the Ministry of Labour (MoL), alongside the heads of the Oman Fishermen’s Association and the Omani Agriculture Association, has visited Bangladesh to examine specialised training, selection, and competency assessment mechanisms for craft workers.
The visit focused on aligning foreign workforce capabilities with national occupational standards and the evolving needs of Oman’s labour market.
The delegation met with Bangladesh’s Minister of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment and the CEO of BOESL to discuss pre-recruitment skill verification. This initial phase targets the agriculture, fisheries, and livestock sectors to enhance labour quality and productivity.
