Muscat – Rally Al Jafnayn will launch the new Oman Rally Championship season on Friday. The rally , launched by the Oman Automobile Association (OAA) and sponsored by GWM Oman will feature promising rally drivers from the country .

The championship is a part of the Oman Automobile Association’s ongoing efforts to develop rallying in the Sultanate by providing an organised and competitive environment that enables Omani drivers to enhance their skills and gain valuable experience.

It also aims to encourage young talents to enter the world of rallying and build a new generation of drivers capable of representing Oman in regional and international championships.

Rally Al Jafnayn, the opening round of the championship, is expected to deliver strong competition across its rally stages, marking a new start that reflects the growing presence of motorsport in Oman and the continued focus on developing the local base of rally drivers.

The Oman Rally Championship will feature rounds across different regions of the Sultanate, taking advantage of Oman’s diverse landscapes and terrain, which provide a wide variety of routes well suited to rally competition. This diversity gives each round its own unique character and presents drivers with new challenges, while highlighting Oman’s natural attributes and its potential as an ideal destination for hosting and organising rallies.
