Bangkok – Embassy of Oman in Thailand has issued an important notice informing Omani citizens about amendments made by Thai authorities regarding the tourism visa exemption system.

Under the updated regulations, the permitted stay duration has been reduced from 60 days to 30 days for Omani passport holders, with the new rules taking effect from September 15, 2026.

The embassy clarified that the amendment is not retroactive; visitors who entered Thai territory prior to the implementation date will retain their original granted stay duration.

Additionally, entries via land border checkpoints are now restricted to twice within a single calendar year. Furthermore, registering in the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system remains a mandatory entry requirement, which travellers are strongly advised to complete prior to departure through the official designated platform.
