Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik paid a private visit to the United Arab Emirates on Monday during which he held a meeting with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi.

At the meeting, the two leaders discussed the course of historic bilateral relations and the shared ties between the two fraternal countries, as well as ways to enhance and develop these across various spheres to serve mutual interests and fulfil the aspirations of the peoples of both countries.

The two leaders also exchanged views on various matters of mutual interest and discussed regional and international developments, besides ways to achieve security and stability.

Alongside His Majesty the Sultan, the meeting was attended by H H Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, H H Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, and other senior officials.

The UAE President led the welcoming and farewell party for His Majesty the Sultan at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi, accompanied by several senior officials.
