Al Wusta – The roads department in Al Wusta Governorate has carried out a pioneering experiment, which is the first of its kind, by constructing sand barriers on Sultan Said bin Taimur Road within the governorate.

The primary goal of these barriers is to prevent sand from blowing onto the highway, thereby reducing driving hazards, keeping the route clear, and significantly improving traffic safety for motorists.

This new initiative aims to reduce sand encroachment on the highway and significantly enhance traffic safety for all motorists and travellers using the route.
