Muscat – Ministry of Labour (MoL) has released the executive summary detailing the outcomes reflecting the impact of inspections on the work environment.

According to the report, authorities conducted a total of 6,707 inspection visits, achieving a compliance rate of 69.5%. The inspections identified 11,172 expats in violation of labour regulations.

Consequently, 4,680 cases were referred to the Public Prosecution, and 2,944 workers were deported. Furthermore, the report noted that 272 employment opportunities were registered pursuant to the settlement decision.
