Muscat – Sultan Haitham City has completed site preparation and levelling works, while several major infrastructure projects are nearing completion, according to a construction update released through its official X account.

The update said structural work on bridges has reached 92%, while construction of three primary electricity substations is 99.5% complete.

Work on the main sewerage line has reached 89% and infrastructure services are halfway complete. Construction of main and secondary roads stands at 58%.

The Experience and Sales Centre has been completed, providing a venue where prospective residents, investors and visitors can learn about the city’s master plan, neighbourhoods and housing options.

The update also highlighted work on a direct connection from Muscat Expressway, including external roads, bridges and underpasses. No completion percentage update was provided for this section.

Construction is progressing in several residential and mixed-use areas, including Ay Al Wafaa, Sarooj Oasis, Yenaier and Wadi Zaha.

Work has also begun in Al Noha district, marking the expansion of construction activity into another part of the development.

The latest figures indicate that early enabling works and electricity infrastructure are close to completion, while road networks and other utility services remain under development.

Sultan Haitham City is being developed as an integrated urban project combining residential communities, public facilities, transport links and commercial and recreational spaces. The phased construction programme is focused on completing core infrastructure while advancing work across individual neighbourhoods.
