Muscat – Foreign Ministry has officially announced the implementation of the 14th phase of its electronic attestation service, marking a significant advancement in the Sultanate’s digital transformation efforts. This initiative, designed to align with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, aims to simplify and digitise consular procedures for citizens travelling or residing abroad. By utilising the electronic platform, individuals can now authenticate essential documents without the necessity of visiting Omani embassies or consulates in the specified host countries.

The expansion programme is being rolled out in strategic stages throughout the summer of 2026. The initial phase for this expansion began on June 5, covering Morocco, Libya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Further phases are scheduled to follow: services for Kenya and Zanzibar will commence on June 19, followed by Mozambique, Ethiopia, Algeria, Mauritania, and Djibouti on July 6. The rollout continues on July 20, for Mauritius, Madagascar, South Africa, Seychelles, and Australia, while services for New Zealand, Switzerland, Armenia, and Monaco will be active from August 3. The final group, comprising Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Brunei, will be included from August 17.

This electronic attestation service, which was originally launched on January 23, continues to grow in scope and utility. The Ministry has confirmed its ongoing commitment to expanding this digital reach to include further friendly and fraternal nations in collaboration with Oman Post. Citizens are encouraged to utilise the dedicated online portal for easy access to these services, ensuring a more efficient and accessible consular experience across the Sultanate’s diplomatic network.
