Muscat – The Muscat Governor’s Office has introduced a new electronic service that enables individuals to obtain technical reports estimating the cost of damages resulting from traffic accidents, streamlining insurance claims and compensation procedures.
The service, launched under the governorate’s ‘One Government Team’ initiative through Muscat Municipality, allows users to apply online for official damage assessment reports covering public property affected by road accidents.
According to Muscat Municipality, the service is designed to provide accurate and professional documentation of accident-related damages, helping motorists, insurance companies and government agencies complete procedures more efficiently.
Officials said the reports will support insurance and financial claims, enhance transparency among concerned parties and speed up the completion of official processes linked to accident cases.
The municipality explained that applicants can access the service through its official portal by selecting the compensation service for damages to public property and submitting the required information and supporting documents electronically.
The process involves entering application details, selecting the service for technical reports on accident-related damages, uploading the necessary documents, verifying the information and submitting the request online.
Authorities noted that the digital platform reflects ongoing efforts to improve public services and expand the use of smart government solutions, reducing paperwork and facilitating access to municipal services.
The initiative is expected to benefit motorists seeking official documentation of damages to public infrastructure resulting from road accidents, while also supporting insurers and relevant authorities in assessing claims more accurately.
Muscat Municipality encouraged residents and road users to utilise the online service and follow the published guidelines to ensure smooth and timely processing of applications.
