Muscat – Royal Oman Police (ROP) has detained a citizen following an incident involving reckless driving within a flooded wadi in the Wilayat of Duqm. The individual was observed performing dangerous stunts with his vehicle while attempting to cross one of the active wadis, an act that placed his own life in significant peril. Such conduct is considered a serious breach of public safety regulations, particularly during periods of inclement weather when water levels are high.

Following the intervention by ROP, the motorist was apprehended and has subsequently been referred to the judicial authorities. Legal proceedings are currently being finalised against him to address the severity of the offence.
