Muscat – The Ministry of Labour has announced the official holiday for Eid al Fitr 1447 AH for employees of the state administrative apparatus, other legal entities and private sector establishments.

According to the ministry, the holiday will begin on Thursday, 29 Ramadan 1447 AH, corresponding to March 19, and will continue till Monday, March 23. Official work will resume on Tuesday, March 24.

The ministry noted that employers may engage staff to work during the holiday if necessary, provided employees are compensated in accordance with the applicable labour regulations.

On the occasion, the ministry extended its congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, praying for his continued good health and wellbeing, and wishing prosperity and blessings for Oman and Muslims around the world.
