Muscat – The 30th edition of the Muscat International Book Fair has been postponed until a later date, H E Dr Abdullah bin Nasser al Harasi, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Main Committee of the Muscat International Book Fair, announced.
The fair had originally been scheduled to take place from March 26 to April 5, 2026.
Al Harasi said the decision was taken following a comprehensive review of the current regional situation and the considerations arising from it, in order to ensure that the prominent cultural event is held under appropriate conditions and in a manner befitting its prestigious standing as one of the most important cultural events in Oman and the wider region. He added that the main organising committee places great importance on holding the fair under the best organisational and logistical conditions to ensure the success of the exhibition and its accompanying intellectual and cultural activities, while enabling effective participation by local, Arab and international publishing houses.
