Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik exchanged greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan with leaders of Arab and friendly Islamic countries on Wednesday.

His Majesty the Sultan expressed his best wishes to the leaders, praying to Allah the Almighty to make it a month of bounty and blessings for the peoples of the Islamic nation. He also prayed to Allah the Almighty to accept the fasting, prayers and good deeds of all Muslims.

The leaders of Islamic countries reciprocated the gesture. They expressed their sincere greetings and wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and prayed to Allah the Almighty to make it a month of bounties and blessings for His Majesty the Sultan and the people of Oman.

His Majesty the Sultan also extended his greetings to Omani citizens, residents in the sultanate and to the entire Islamic nation on the advent of the holy month.

The Diwan of Royal Court made a statement to this effect reading as follows:

‘His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has conveyed his greetings to the citizens of the dear homeland, residents and the entire Islamic nation on the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan 1447 AH. His Majesty prays to Allah the Almighty to grant them success in fasting and performing the night prayers throughout the virtuous month, to imbue its blessed days with outpourings of acceptance and forgiveness, and to bless them with its return in goodness, health and harmony.’
