Muscat – The highly anticipated Oman Design Week 2026 has officially begun in Muscat, marking a significant collaboration between the Oman Design Association and Muscat Municipality. Set against the backdrop of Al Khuwair Square on Ministries Street, the event serves as a premier cultural hub under the umbrella of Muscat Nights. The five-day festival, which runs from January 27 to January 31, offers a diverse programme including professional workshops, intellectual talks, and a dedicated food market alongside various digital and physical art installations.
As the event is now underway, visitors should note the varying daily schedules designed to accommodate a wide audience. For Wednesday, the doors remain open until 10:00 pm, with core activities such as the exhibition and workshops having commenced at 7:00 pm. Looking ahead to the weekend, the venue will extend its operating hours significantly. On Thursday, January 29 and Friday, January 30, the event will welcome the public from 4:00 pm until midnight, providing an evening of immersive design experiences. The week will culminate on Saturday, January 31 with a final session running from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, featuring a formal closing ceremony scheduled for 9:30 pm to bring the festivities to an official end.
