Muscat – Sultanate of Oman and the United Republic of Tanzania are set to further strengthen their deep-rooted historical ties, following a high-level diplomatic exchange between their respective foreign ministers.
This came after a telephone call between H E Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, and Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, Foreign Minister of Tanzania.
During the discussion, both ministers emphasised the strong historical bonds connecting the two nations and expressed a mutual desire to continue developing and capitalising on opportunities for cooperation that serve the common interests of their respective friendly peoples. The call also addressed the latest developments in Tanzania, with both officials stressing the importance of promoting security and stability in the country. They underscored the need for prudence and resorting to constructive, peaceful dialogue to achieve the aspirations of the Tanzanian people.
