Muscat – A number of vessels from the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) sailed from Said Bin Sultan Naval Base on Monday to participate in the Joint Gulf Naval Exercise (Ittihad 25).

The exercise is scheduled to take place in the State of Kuwait from 1 to 15 December 2025, with participation from the naval forces of all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.

The RNO’s participation aims to enhance its operational readiness, strengthen the joint Gulf naval cooperation system, develop the competency of its crew, and improve joint coordination and training for managing operations in various maritime environments, thereby contributing to maritime security.
