Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Monday received Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, at Al Barakah Palace.

During the meeting, areas of investment and economic partnership between the two countries were reviewed, as well as means of enhancing them to serve common interests and contribute to the growth of the Omani and Belarusian economies.

The meeting was attended by H H Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, and Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority.

The meeting was attended on the Belarusian side by the two sons of the President, Viktor Lukashenko, Special Envoy of the President and President of the Olympic Committee, and Nikolai Lukashenko, along with a number of Belarusian officials.
