Muscat – In collaboration with Sultan Qaboos University and the National University of Science and Technology, Ministry of Health will organise the National Organ Donation Campaign – under the theme ‘Gift of Life’ – from November 13 to 15, 5pm to 9pm, in The Village, Seeb.

The three-day campaign aims to raise public awareness on the importance of organ donation by highlighting its medical, psychological, religious and humanitarian aspects. It also seeks to encourage a positive social dialogue that answers public questions, dispels misconceptions and inspires a culture of giving and saving lives.

Organised in cooperation with Oman Medical Specialty Board, University Medical City and Oman Transplantation Society, the campaign brings together various government and medical institutions in a united effort to promote organ donation as an act of compassion and humanity.

The initiative is part of the Ministry of Health’s ongoing efforts to support the National Organ Transplant Programme, which has achieved notable success in recent years, including the first heart and several kidney and liver transplants performed in the sultanate. These achievements have reduced the need for patients to travel abroad for treatment, giving new hope to many awaiting life-saving transplants.
