Tehran, Iran – President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr Masoud Pezeshkian received Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, in Tehran on Monday.

Sayyid Hamoud conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and his best wishes to President Pezeshkian and the Iranian people for continued progress and prosperity.

President Pezeshkian, in turn, asked Sayyid Hamoud to convey his greetings and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan and his best wishes for His Majesty and the Omani people.

During the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed the strength of Oman-Iran relations and discussed ways to enhance cooperation across various fields to serve the common interests of both countries.

The meeting was attended by Maj Gen Abdullah bin Ali al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations, and Ahmed bin Hashel al Maskari, Head of the Department of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Regional Neighbourhood at the Foreign Ministry.

From the Iranian side, Eskandar Momeni, Minister of Interior, and several senior officials were present.
