27 Oct 2025 Interior Minister of Oman meets Iran’s Security Chief in Tehran

Tehran – Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, met today with Ali Larijani, Secretary General of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

During the meeting, aspects of bilateral cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran were reviewed, a number of topics of common interest were discussed, and views were exchanged on a number of regional and international developments.

The two sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation to enhance the security and stability of the region and serve the common interests of the two friendly countries.

The meeting was attended by Major General Abdullah bin Ali al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations, His Excellency Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel al Maskari, Head of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Regional Neighborhood Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a number of Iranian officials.

His Excellency the Minister of Interior arrived earlier today at Mehrabad International Airport, where he was received by His Excellency Eskandar Momeni, Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and a number of Iranian officials.

It is noteworthy that the Sultanate of Oman will participate tomorrow, Tuesday, as the “guest of honor” in the fourth meeting of interior ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states, hosted by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
