Muscat – Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources will host the third International Dates and Honey Exhibition from October 23 to 29 at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event is set to bring together producers, exporters and investors from around the world for a showcase of the finest Omani and international products.
Speaking to Muscat Daily, a ministry official said the exhibition has become an important annual platform to highlight Oman’s growing reputation in the production of high-quality dates and honey. “It offers an excellent opportunity for businesses to exchange expertise, explore investment partnerships and consolidate Oman’s presence in global markets,” the official noted.
The exhibition will open under the patronage of Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, in the presence of several ministers, senior officials, farmers and entrepreneurs.
This year’s edition will feature participation of 13 countries and 50 international companies, in addition to 250 enterprises, SMEs and entrepreneurs from across the sultanate.
According to the ministry, the exhibition aims to boost trade and cooperation between producers and exporters of dates and honey, while opening new avenues for investment, technology and innovation in processing, packaging and marketing.
“The event underscores Oman’s efforts to enhance the competitiveness of its agricultural products and position the sultanate as a regional hub for premium date and honey production,” the official added.
