Muscat – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman has welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire agreement signed in Doha between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

In an official statement, Oman praised the efforts that led to the agreement and expressed its appreciation for the role played by the State of Qatar and the Republic of Türkiye in facilitating the ceasefire.

The ministry emphasised Oman’s consistent support for initiatives aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in the region. It reaffirmed the sultanate’s hope that the ceasefire agreement will be a step toward broader reconciliation and continued peace between the two neighboring countries.
