Muscat – The Sultanate of Oman has welcomed the agreement on the terms and mechanisms for implementing the first phase of the ceasefire in Gaza. The agreement is expected to halt hostilities, facilitate the release of prisoners and detainees from both sides, and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

In an official statement issued by the Foreign Ministry today, Oman emphasised the importance of sustaining regional and international efforts to reinforce the ceasefire. The Ministry highlighted the need to pave the way for a just and comprehensive political solution that upholds the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and promotes security and stability across the region.
