Muscat – The Ministry of Labour has reiterated that employers must notify the concerned department or section in writing within 24 hours of any serious accident, work injury, or occupational disease.
The notification must also include reporting to the Social Protection Fund (SPF) for any work-related injury that occurred to workers covered by insurance.

This regulation aims to strengthen workplace safety standards and ensure swift action in protecting workers’ rights under occupational health and safety laws.
