Muscat – The Foreign Ministry has expressed the Sultanate of Oman’s appreciation to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for facilitating the return of Omani citizen Dr Omama Mustafa al Lawati, who had been detained by the Israeli authorities while participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ministry confirmed that the return of Dr Omama was successfully arranged within the framework of the sultanate’s continuous diplomatic efforts and coordination with regional partners.

It added that all necessary measures were taken to ensure her safety and wellbeing, paving the way for her return to Oman.
