Bidiyah – The NASA Space Apps Challenge 2025 Hackathon concluded in the wilayat of Bidiya, North Sharqiyah, with 85 teams competing under the theme “Learn, Launch, and Lead.” Organised in collaboration with the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Ibra Branch, the two-day event saw 645 participants tackling 18 global challenges presented by NASA, along with a local challenge supported by the Oman Astronomical Society and Etlaq Company.

Among the winners were student teams GEOBLOOM, LEOVERSE, GRIV, GALACTIQUEST, TERRAGUARD, INTELLIWAVE, ZENITH, ALTAKWEEN ASTROCREATORS, COSMIC CRAFTERS, and SHELLY, each excelling across various innovation categories.

The hackathon was part of NASA’s global initiative held simultaneously in 180 cities worldwide, promoting creativity, scientific exploration, and collaboration across borders — with this year’s edition featuring international participation from Zanzibar.
