Muscat – H M Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s state visit to Belarus marks a milestone in bilateral relations, reinforcing strategic partnerships and opening new avenues for cooperation across political, economic, and cultural sectors.
Since establishing diplomatic ties in 1992, Oman and Belarus have steadily enhanced collaboration. Trade between the two nations spans base metals, electrical machinery, precision instruments, and plant-based exports, while joint agreements cover air transport, investment protection, double taxation, and cultural exchange.
The visit underscores opportunities in technology transfer, AI, smart cities, healthcare, medical tourism, agriculture, logistics, and knowledge-based industries. Both sides aim to expand investment, foster innovation, and strengthen Oman’s position as a regional hub connecting Asia, Africa, and the Gulf.
Officials highlighted Belarus’s industrial and digital expertise as a strategic complement to Oman’s economic diversification plans. High-level discussions and upcoming agreements are expected to create shared economic value, enhance trade, and generate new opportunities for Omani and Belarusian investors.
