Muscat – As part of ongoing international security cooperation, the Royal Oman Police (ROP), in coordination with the Italian Police through the National Central Bureaus, successfully carried out the judicial extradition of a suspect of African nationality.

The individual is wanted by Italian authorities for participating in a criminal organisation involved in human trafficking and migrant smuggling across multiple European countries.

The operation was conducted by the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation and reflects Oman’s commitment to combating transnational crime and strengthening cooperation with international law enforcement agencies.
