Muscat – The Master’s Program in Operations and Supply Chain Management (MSC) at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at the University has achieved a new academic milestone by being ranked 91-100 globally by the QS World University Rankings. This achievement is the first of its kind for a graduate program at the University, as it is the first time a program has been ranked in this prestigious international ranking.
This success is also the culmination of the significant efforts made by the Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management at the Faculty, particularly after the program received international accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), which has contributed to raising the quality of the program and enhancing its global competitiveness. Furthermore, the program is distinguished by the quality of its highly qualified student outputs, which meet the requirements of the local, regional, and global labor markets.
Dr. Al Mukhtar bin Saif al Abri, Dean of the College of Economics and Political Science, said: “The inclusion of the Master of Operations and Supply Chain Management program in the QS World Rankings is a remarkable achievement for the university and the college, reflecting the quality of our academic programs and the efficiency of our graduates. It also confirms our continued commitment to international standards in education and scientific research, and represents an important step towards strengthening the university’s presence on the global higher education map. On this occasion, I thank my fellow faculty members in the department, the program administration, and all the students for their efforts that have resulted in this achievement.”
