Muscat – The Ministry of Education and Teaching has announced the opening of registration for new first-grade students in private schools for the academic year 2026/2027.

The registration period will run from Wednesday, October 15, 2025, until Thursday, July 9, 2026.

Registration is limited to children born in 2017. For enrolment, Omani students must present a valid civil ID card for both the child and guardian, while non-Omani students are required to provide a valid residency card for the guardian.

Applications must be submitted by the guardian through the educational portal using their account, where they can apply directly to a chosen private school and monitor the application status.

Following online registration, the guardian must visit the selected school with the child and the required documents, which include:

• The child’s medical record to confirm required vaccinations.
• A medical report from an approved health institution if the child suffers from chronic illnesses or disabilities requiring special education.
• The child must also undergo medical examinations by government health institutions before final acceptance.

The ministry stressed that compliance with all conditions and deadlines is mandatory, and no exceptions will be permitted.
