Muscat – H E Salim bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, accompanied by H E Azzan bin Qassim al Busaidi, Undersecretary of Tourism, led an official delegation to Al Mouj Muscat as part of the ministry’s ongoing programme to support, monitor, and follow up on integrated tourism projects across the sultanate.
During the visit, the delegation toured several key assets within Al Mouj Muscat, including the award-winning 18-hole championship golf course, the upcoming ‘Okura’ Oman’s first Japanese branded hotel set to open in 2028 as well as the newly enhanced Golf Club and Business Park.
The programme also included site visits to residential communities such as Golf Beach Residences, Jinan Island, and Marooj Lanes, alongside updates on the next phases of Azura Beach Residences, upgrades to the Marina, and the recently inaugurated St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort.
The visit formed part of the ministry’s broader strategy to ensure alignment with Oman Vision 2040 objectives and to evaluate progress on projects that contribute to tourism growth, inward investment, and job creation. Discussions also highlighted governance, sustainability, community and tourism focused strategies, underlining the importance of integrated tourism destinations as platforms for knowledge transfer, and national talent development.
