Suhar – North Batinah Governor’s Office has started preparations for the fourth edition of Suhar Festival, one of the key annual events in the governorate.

As part of the plans, the office has invited bids for the design and execution of adventure games, which are expected to be a major new attraction this year. The deadline for submission of tenders is October 9, after which the winning proposal will be selected based on technical and financial criteria.

The festival, which draws thousands of visitors from across Oman and abroad, offers a mix of entertainment, cultural and sporting events while highlighting the sultanate’s rich heritage. The introduction of adventure games is aimed at attracting more young people and families looking for engaging activities.

In addition to entertainment, the festival plays an important role in boosting the local economy by supporting sectors such as hospitality, retail and services.

The Governor’s Office said preparations are progressing in line with a comprehensive plan to ensure that this year’s edition will be more successful than previous ones, reinforcing Suhar’s position as a leading cultural and tourism destination in the region.

The third edition of Suhar Festival last year attracted over 400,000 visitors, becoming a major event in Oman’s cultural calendar.
