Salalah  – Dhofar Khareef 2025 drew 827,115 visitors from June 21 to August 15, marking a 2.1% increase compared to the same period in 2024 when the number of visitors was 810,085, according to preliminary estimates from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The data revealed a significant rise in Omani visitors, up 71.5% to 591,577, while visitors from GCC countries numbered 143,431, and visitors of other nationalities totalled 92,107.

Of the total visitors, 639,962 entered Dhofar via land crossings, while 187,153 arrived by air, representing a 15.5% increase over last year.

NCSI noted that 46.5% visitors came during the peak period from August 1 to 15, reflecting strong interest in the khareef season in Dhofar at the height of summer.

In 2024, Dhofar attracted 1,048,000 visitors between June 21 and September 21, reflecting a 9% increase compared to the same period in 2023, when the number of visitors reached 962,000.
