Muscat – Royal Academy of Management (RAM) has announced the launch of its flagship initiative, the Bawsala Fellowship Programme, aimed at nurturing the next generation of Omani leaders. The programme is designed to equip young Omanis with the leadership skills, knowledge and networks needed to play an active role in shaping the nation’s future.
Developed in collaboration with the Bawsala team, a group of Omani university students, the fellowship reflects RAM’s commitment to meaningful youth engagement and aligns with the priorities of Oman Vision 2040, which places youth empowerment at its core.
A total of 20 young Omanis, aged between 19 and 25, will be selected to participate, representing a diverse pool of students demonstrating the ambition and capability to contribute meaningfully to national development. The learning journey will include mentorship and exposure to leading institutions, intensive leadership workshops, inspirational dialogues and practical project work. Participants will have the opportunity to learn directly from senior leaders, develop leadership competencies, and work on analytical case studies addressing real-world challenges under expert guidance.

Dr Ali bin Qassim al Lawati, President of RAM, emphasised the importance of the programme in advancing the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. “The Bawsala Fellowship Programme represents a strategic milestone in investing in our nation’s prosperous and sustainable future. By equipping young Omanis with the knowledge, mindset and leadership skills they require, we are preparing them to play a key role in shaping Oman’s journey forward.”
Lawati also expressed his pride in the Bawsala team for designing the programme, praising their determination, ambition and commitment to serving the nation. By incorporating the voices of young Omanis into its design, the fellowship ensures that participants are not only beneficiaries of leadership development but also active contributors to Oman’s ongoing growth and progress.
