Muscat – The Ministry of Education (MoE) will announce the results of the General Education Diploma and equivalent examinations for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year on Thursday.

H E Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed al Shaibani, Minister of Education, has approved the general indicators for the results and extended her congratulations to the students and their families for their achievement.

This year, 54,856 students applied for the General Education Diploma, with a success rate of 82.83%. The General Education Diploma for Private Schools (bilingual) recorded a higher success rate of 91.58% among 1,579 students. The General Education and Islamic Studies Diploma saw 121 students appear, achieving a 100% success rate.

Additionally, 61 students appeared for the General Education Diploma (Special Education), with a success rate of 86.89%, while 138 students took the General Vocational and Technical Education Diploma exams, also recording a 100% pass rate.

The results will be available to students starting 4:00 PM on Thursday, via SMS through telecom providers. To receive the results, students can send their seating number to 90200.

Examinations were held across 366 centers spread throughout all governorates of the sultanate. The Ministry confirmed that it had taken all necessary measures to ensure the examinations were conducted in a smooth, fair, and secure environment.

However, the Ministry also reported 16 violations of exam regulations. These were addressed in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. 588/2015, which governs the conduct of General Education Diploma examinations. Investigations were carried out to confirm the circumstances surrounding each case before applying appropriate penalties in coordination with relevant authorities.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the integrity and credibility of the examination process.
