Barka – The South Batinah Governorate Police Command has arrested 19 expats for engaging in gambling activities inside a residential building in the wilayat of Barka.

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) confirmed that the individuals were caught in the act and that all legal procedures are currently being completed in accordance with the country’s laws on gambling, which is prohibited in Oman.

Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining public order and enforcing the law, warning that such illegal activities will not be tolerated. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious or unlawful behaviour to help ensure the safety and security of their communities.
