Muscat – The Embassy of India in Muscat will begin offering consular, passport and visa services through a new service provider – SGIVS Global Services – starting July 1, 2025.

In the initial phase, services will be available from the embassy premises located on Jami’at al Dowal al Arabiya Street in the Diplomatic Area of Al Khuwair.

To enhance outreach and improve service delivery, SGIVS Global will gradually establish 11 dedicated application centres across Oman. These centres will be located in Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Ibri, Sur, Nizwa, Duqm, Ibra, Khasab, Buraimi and Barka, and are expected to be fully operational by August 15, 2025.

The embassy has advised applicants to expect possible service disruptions during the transition and requested them to plan their visits accordingly. Updates on the opening of the new centres and related developments will be shared through the embassy’s official website and social media platforms.

The embassy has expressed appreciation for the understanding and cooperation of applicants during this period of transition.
