Barka – As part of efforts to boost economic activity, increase national income, and enhance leisure offerings for citizens and residents, South Batinah Governor’s Office has announced five investment opportunities across key wilayats in the governorate. An official at the Governor’s Office informed that the opportunities are open to local and international investors and span a variety of sectors aimed at revitalising economic and community infrastructure.
The investment packages include development, management and operations of Barka Waterfront, Wadi al Maawil Souq and Al Awabi Souq. Additionally, investors are invited to bid for operations and management of a slaughterhouse in Musannah and development of Al Misfah in the wilayat of Rustaq.
“These projects are designed to stimulate economic development, attract private investment and provide much-needed job opportunities for local residents,” the official said. “These will also enhance public amenities and contribute to a higher quality of life in the governorate.”
The deadline for submitting bids is August 7. The projects are part of efforts to achieve sustainable development and support Oman’s economic diversification goals.
