Muscat – Rescue teams from the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) on Saturday recovered the body of a missing citizen in the wilayat of Taqah, near Khor Rori beach in Dhofar.

The man had gone missing last Tuesday while fishing with his brother. One of them was found the following day, prompting a multi-agency search operation that continued for several days amid challenging conditions, including high waves, rugged cliffs and deep depressions.

The Royal Oman Police, Royal Air Force of Oman, PACDA and several citizens were involved in the operation.

PACDA has urged fishermen in Dhofar to exercise caution and avoid venturing into the sea during the monsoon season. It also stressed the need to adhere to all safety and preventive measures to avoid such incidents.
