Omani paragliding team triumphs at GCC Beach Games in Muscat

Muscat – The Omani national paragliding team clinched the gold medal in the team category and earned silver and bronze in the individual events at the Third GCC Beach Games in Muscat, 2025. The competition, held at Hail Beach in Seeb, saw 14 competitors from Oman, UAE, and Kuwait.

Team Results
Oman topped the team standings with 8475 points, followed by UAE with 7275 points (silver) and Kuwait with 3925 points (bronze).

Individual Results
UAE’s Abdullah Nasser Mustafa Kashif took gold with 1000 points. Oman’s Ahmed bin Hamdan al Kalbani secured silver (950 points), and compatriot Yaqzan bin Jamal al Zadjali won bronze (500 points).

Sportsmanship and Camaraderie
Retired Major General Mohamed Said Khalfan praised the event’s friendly atmosphere, while Nasser Hamouda al Neyadi of the UAE expressed hopes for more regional paragliding competitions.

Participants, including Abdullah Nasser Mustafa Kashif and Ahmed bin Hamdan al Kalbani, reflected on the unique experience of competing in Muscat’s beautiful skies, with a strong desire for more such events in the future.
